...it's supposedly a symptom of pregnancy, so don't blame me!
It snowed all day on Monday, and again on Thursday. So now, cumulatively, we have about 6-8 inches of lovely white powder on the ground. It's a beautiful sight out the window, but I have to admit has slowed me down on the picture-of-the-car-getting process.
Driving toward Asenovgrad
You see, we have two streets bordering our house - one in front, one in back. The one in front of the house is on the side of the mountain (our house faces toward the mountain) and is not paved, or graveled, or anything. The other street, behind the house, is paved, though very narrow. So we park on the paved street, but we have to trek through our back yard to get to the car.
A view of Dolnoslav, a nearby village
So you can see how much effort it would take to make a special trip out in the snow to the car to get a picture... particularly for a pregnant woman who seems to be getting clumsier and more off-balance by the minute.
At any rate, I haven't forgotten you! That being said, I do keep forgetting to take the picture when I'm actually with the car. Yesterday we went out to run errands and I took several pictures of the snow, but none of the car! (Oops!)
An out-the-window snapshot driving through Topolovo
Exciting things are to come in the next few weeks! Shannon, my sister, is leaving the US today and will arrive in Bulgaria tomorrow for a three-week stay here. She will be completing some of the requirements for a cross-cultural experience with her university as well as keeping me company while Joe is gone for a week for his brother's wedding.
We have been planning her trip for a few months now and we're so excited that it's finally here. Now, I've got to go get the last few things crossed off my to-do list before she arrives!

Beautiful blue sky! So it looks like they plow the roads...what about treating the roads with salt or something...do they do that?
Looks like you have as much snow as we do...All the areas around us have gotten alot more. Glad to hear you are feeling well and looking forward to your sister's visit. How exciting for the both of you
