Hi everybody. For the first time this is Joe. Hasn't Jen been doing such a wonderful job with this blog? After watching her work so hard on each post I thought I would give it a try. So here goes...
Things To Do When You Need a Break From Studying Bulgarian
So I couldn't think of any one thing to focus on in this post so I decided to show you a few things that we have found to be helpful if we are bogged down from studying.
There are many great people in the house that we can go and visit with when we need a break. I recently learned to play a game called Bakugon with Yoanna and Nasko. The game is similar to the Pokemon card game if any of you readers are familiar with that game. I had some trouble catching on but the kids were very helpful and had fun laughing at my confused looks.

We can always play with Mira, the dog. Who likes to play with Cleopatra the turtle.
There is the Guinea Pig...I'm not sure what his/her name is actually.
There is also making peach compote...
Making homemade dresses...
Cooking pizza...
And so much more.
Needless to say there are plenty of things for us to distract ourselves with when we get burnt out from studying. We have to be careful though. There is a strange creature that lives here in Bulgaria that is specifically drawn to foreigners trying to learn the language. This creature lurks in the shadows and only comes out if it senses the learner slacking off. One day I dozed off while I was studying and woke to find this terrible creature was upon me. Jen was able to get a quick snapshot before it disappeared into the shadows once more...

After some research I discovered that the scientific name for this creature is...Jeneus Hairclipus. They have been known to appear in various places around the world, including Ohio, where we just moved from! Consider yourself warned!
Well that was my post. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment! (To leave a comment, click the caption bubble to the right of the post title at the top of the page.)
(Disclaimer1: No turtles were harmed in the making of this post.)
(Disclaimer2: The studying is going very well. Jen and I are both very excited about how much we are learning and now able to understand. This post is in no way meant to imply anything negative regarding our language learning. Thanks, The Blog Post Writer)
