Settlers in the shade

Joe and I have found that from 8-11am there is a nicely shaded area in the front courtyard. It stays much cooler there than anywhere else for most of the morning, so we've started taking advantage of it for language study, etc.

Today we decided to use the shade for a game of Settlers...


Before we moved, we made sure we were able to fit our Settlers game into our suitcase.


Joe played an intense game.


He won.

Cleo came along on her morning courtyard rounds, as usual, and encountered a new obstacle...


Turtle vs. Rubbermaid

She tried a few different options but ended up pushing the box out of her way and walking right past it. As for Joe and I, we ran away as soon as a the sun crept into our shade.
